Six series production platforms of new-energy hair-pin (flat-wire) traction motors released by the company on 2 August 2025 after an iterative upgrade of its existing product platforms, covering peak power from 60 kW to 520 kW and peak torque from 120 Nm to 3,000 Nm. Compared with conventional round-wire motors they offer four advantages: high power density, high efficiency, high quietness and high-voltage capability. Power density is 15% higher, the highest measured efficiency reaches 98.3%, the high-efficiency region achieves the 'double 90' level, and near-field noise at 1 m is 6% lower than that of round-wire motors.

Platform series: TZ180, TZ220, TZ260, TZ290, TZ380 and TZ445 (six hair-pin platforms); peak power range 60 kW-520 kW; peak torque range 120 Nm-3,000 Nm; maximum efficiency 98.3% and 'double 90' high-efficiency region; compatible with 800 V high-voltage architecture, low-permittivity PI enamel film, measured PDIV 4,300 V; multi-wire-per-slot and low-harmonic winding technology, sinusoidal air-gap field design, high-rigidity stator; complete in-house hair-pin stator process and hair-pin stator production line, self-developed and self-manufactured.

A 12-layer-per-slot hair-pin winding motor developed by Zhuzhou Shangchi Electric that leads the industry; it applies advanced domestic Mini-pin technology at the winding end turns to reduce end-turn height, making it China's first mass-produced 12-layer Mini-pin high-efficiency hair-pin motor. It already powers multiple vehicle makers including Geely and drives tractor units and electric loaders in reliable operation.

Stator with 12 hair-pin layers per slot (the industry mass-production norm is 8 layers); Mini-pin end-turn technology shortens winding end-turn height, raises power density and reduces cost; a self-developed electromagnetic design program selects the best option from thousands of topology schemes; structural strength, shaft-current protection and EMC design are borrowed from high-speed rail motors, preventing bearing electrical corrosion and reducing electromagnetic interference with other on-board equipment; reliability and full-life-cycle service life far exceed the industry average; the Geely methanol heavy truck using this motor saves about CNY 1 per kilometre in operating cost compared with a diesel vehicle.

A traction motor range for city buses and intercity coaches, segmented into several power classes by vehicle length and tonnage. Cumulative customers include Geely Farizon, CRRC Times, Fangsheng Axle, Dongfeng Dana and Foton. Bus products were fitted to 100% of vehicles at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games (1,090 vehicles served), to over 85% at the 2023 Chengdu Universiade (2,200 vehicles) and to more than 80% at the 2021 Beijing military parade (2,000 vehicles).

A traction motor range for new-energy medium and heavy trucks, with power classes defined by vehicle tonnage, supplied mainly to Geely Farizon, Shacman Heavy Truck and FAW Jiefang. Cumulative deliveries exceed 40,000 units to Shacman Heavy Truck, over 40,000 to Geely Farizon and more than 6,000 to FAW Jiefang; the motors also match the 6E95, 6E150 and 6E240 gearboxes to serve 100 kW, 150 kW and 250 kW electric heavy trucks.

The full 5 T loader electric drive package comprises a traction motor, a hydraulic pump motor, a traction motor controller (a dual-motor control option is available) and a pump motor controller (a multi-in-one integrated option is available).
