Electric material handlers are purpose-built machines for ports, scrap yards, timber, recycling and bulk cargo. Their long booms, elevating cabs and grabs create duty cycles different from excavators, so reach and attachment performance must be evaluated with stability and energy use.
Specify material density, grab type, required radius, height or depth and tonnes per hour. Compare machine weight, battery and shift endurance, then confirm cable or charger arrangement, swing duty, ground bearing pressure and safe load chart for each boom-stick combination.
Use the table as a first comparison, not as a substitute for a technical agreement. Ask shortlisted manufacturers to confirm the current configuration, test method, duty cycle, charging or energy-supply boundary, applicable standards, warranty, local service and spare-parts plan in writing.
