Deren Electronics develops and manufactures automotive-grade on-board chargers (OBC) through its subsidiaries Meida Electric (Chongqing) and Meta (Italy), converting AC power into high-voltage DC to charge the battery. The company was among the first worldwide to launch a high-power OBC on a 22kW 800V platform, adopting a silicon carbide (SiC) high-frequency solution with liquid cooling technology to achieve energy conversion efficiency of up to 95%. It has already supplied Porsche, BMW, PSA and Dongfeng in volume production.

Deren's on-board power supply product line includes DC/DC converters, which convert high-voltage battery DC power into low-voltage electricity for the vehicle's low-voltage electrical equipment. The company has become a mass-production supplier of 'PCU (OBC+DC/DC) and DC/DC' products for HiPhi, and in its ODP integrated on-board power management module it combines the DC/DC converter with the OBC and the PDU in a highly integrated three-in-one design.

The 'PCU (OBC+DC/DC)' two-in-one on-board power supply product developed by Deren for the Chinese EV startup HiPhi integrates the on-board charger (OBC) and the DC/DC converter into a single unit, combining charging and voltage-conversion functions. The product has won a mass-production designation from HiPhi, reflecting the company's technical strength in the field of integrated on-board power supplies and its recognition by customers.

Deren's ODP integrated on-board power management module is a three-in-one highly integrated product combining the OBC (on-board charger), the DC/DC converter and the PDU (power distribution unit). Its highly integrated technology achieves functional integration and structural optimization with a greatly reduced volume. Based on the AUTOSAR software architecture and meeting ISO 26262 functional safety requirements, it has won an exclusive supply designation from Beam (Spotlight Automotive) as well as designations from mainstream domestic automakers.

Deren's automotive connector business has entered the supply systems of first-tier automakers, covering mid-to-high-end joint venture brands and domestic Chinese vehicle manufacturers. The company continues to increase investment in and expansion of high-voltage connectors for new energy vehicles, with products applied in power battery, electric drive, electronic control and charging interface modules, raising its market share in the high-voltage interconnection field for new energy vehicles and advancing the domestic substitution of connectors.

In the new energy vehicle field, beyond conventional complete vehicle harnesses the company also supplies its distinctive high-voltage harnesses (which carry higher value), and provides battery pack and engine small harnesses for CATL and Weichai Power; the Kostal-Deren joint venture undertook the development and manufacturing of the high-voltage, low-voltage and ABS complete vehicle harnesses for the FAW-Volkswagen ID.4 CROZZ.
